What does Functional Medicine of North Idaho offer?
We are a Functional Family Practice for patients who are seeking integrative or functional management of chronic illness or complex symptoms, as well as promotion of ongoing wellness.
We are not Primary Care Providers (PCPs).

Does Functional Medicine of North Idaho accept insurance?
Functional Medicine of North Idaho is in-network and accepting new patients with several Blue Cross (not the Kootenai Care Network), Regence/HMA, Premera, Pacific Source (not Medicare), Cigna, Mountain Health Coop, and First Choice Health Network plans.
Functional Medicine of North Idaho is NOT contracted with Medicaid/Molina, Medicare, Tricare, Kaiser, Aetna, Multiplan, UHC/UMR, Workman's Comp or MVA insurance. These patients can all be seen as self pay.
Each insurance carrier has many types of plans and they are constantly changing. It is your responsibility to verify coverage prior to appointment.
What other costs might be involved in my care?
Functional Medicine recommendations often involve testing that may not be covered by insurance. (Examples include urine hormones testing, food sensitivity testing, comprehensive stool analysis or toxin burden testing).
Functional Medicine recommendations often include supplements and vitamins that are not covered by insurance.
The above costs are usually considered appropriate for HSA or FSA funds.
Of course, you make the final determination regarding which functional medicine tests or nutritional supplements (if any) are right for you.
